Izzy and friends at the dog park~

Big thanks go out to John Mark for fixing Bubby’s door this afternoon! (And for mowing the yard and throwing old furniture type stuff into the landlord’s dumpster next door…shh.) Now we will be able to take Isabella on 2 visits to the dog park today! (That’s her in the foreground with the blue collar.) Why do I love that dog so much when she has been such a challenge? Could it be those blue eyes that beg for love or that long, wet nose that is always in the way? Could be. But I’m guessing that it’s the unconditional love that she shows us all. :)

Hmm. Bubby (our car) is in need of some brake fluid. That is to be expected, as he has a slow leak. James will be over tonight to add the fluid. But there is more! The passenger door is refusing to shut! Ahh, Bubby…what am I going to do with you? So there will be no more driving until after James fixes the door this evening. Isolation! Nooooooooo! Not that I get out a lot, mind you, but that I like to be able to go when I want to go.

Bubby only needs to hold out for another 8 weeks. I know that he can do it! Once the girls and I have made our Great Move to Chicago, we will no longer need a car. We will be downtown riding the bus, the el and taking taxis!

Hang in there, Bubs. And thank you, James, for letting us ‘borrow’ him. :)

Damage to John’s Car

John’s girlfriend, Bianca (isn’t that a beautiful name?), called this afternoon and told me that John’s car had been vandalized and his CD player stolen. John came by shortly after that and showed me the damage to Susie. Her passenger window is gone. The twits felt it necessary to leave a few dents on her body. They scratched up the trunk trying to break into it. They were obviously very young as they only took the radio. Although, they did try to steal the car. I forget what he said the damage was to the starter/steering wheel/and whatever else. But we know that they were young because they only took the CD player. He had his camcorder and amp in the back window. They are still there. Jerks. He’s worked so hard on that car.
